On arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport, you will be met by our driver who will assist you to board your vehicle to Darjeeling. On arrival, check into the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure. DARJEELING: A town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or the "Toy Train," completed in 1881. It's famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes, with Mt. Kanchenjunga as its backdrop.

Early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and the Himalayan range, including Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest. On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery, the oldest monastery in the area, built in 1875, home to a 15 ft. image of Maitreya Buddha, then visit Batasia Loop and transfer to the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday) — started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock / Gombu Rock, a Tea Estate (from outside), and the Japanese Peace Pagoda.

After breakfast, drive to Mirik, a quiet hill town surrounded by tea gardens and pine forests. Visit Sumendu Lake (Mirik Lake) and enjoy a stroll around it, with optional boating and horse rides (extra cost). See the Bokar Monastery and the tea estates, then return to the hotel by evening.

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station in time for your flight/train to onward destination.
